Grid Work Clinics

A series of poles and small jumps to help improve balance, engagement, activity, technique and performance for dressage and jumping horses. You don’t even have to leave the ground to benefit!

Rider Alignment/Position lessons

Jo is an Equipilates affiliated coach, Jo is now available for rider alignment sessions. Position analysis on the saddle horse, using the ABC (Alignment, Breathing and Core) technique for riders, followed by exercises and releases to improve your position and effectiveness in the saddle. Come for a saddle horse session alone or add it to the start of your lesson and we can incorporate the techniques. A must for all you dressage divas!

Dressage Test Practice

Practise any dressage test and receive feedback to improve your marks. 20x40m available within the menage all year round and 20x60m grass arena available during summer months. Both with white boards and flower pots.

£25 for 30 minute session

Equipilates™ Biomechanics screenings

Available by appointment.

Intrinsic biomechanics screenings and correlating exercises address any low grade muscle spasm, nerve and joint mobility issues which may be affecting your ability to use your core muscles, your shock absorption capacity and your symmetry in the saddle.

The pelvis is the first part of your body which receives movement forces directly from the horse, and therefore restrictions here directly influence your position in the saddle- it is really common to have a pelvis which is twisted, shifted or tilted to the side, perhaps tipped too far forwards or backwards on one or both sides and legs which aren’t quite the same length!

These issues, which can develop into discomfort and compensatory patterns involving many other areas of your body, will be pinpointed in your screening and are so often helped quickly with simple and effective exercises.
