March has proven to be a busy month so far with all systems go on both the dressage and eventing side.
Jo completed part one in becoming an Equestrian Balancing Therapy (EBT) practitioner, attending a 4 day course at Equipilates HQ. EBT is an energy based treatment for both horse and rider to help improve relaxation, release tension, increase stride length, suppleness, way of going in the horse, allow the rider to sit more effectively and straighter and much much more!
Jo will incorporate the techniques into both ridden and studio sessions. The course is the perfect addition to her Equipilates training to ensure both horse and rider perform at their best. Remember a crooked rider = a crooked horse and vice versa.
Training sessions have seen huge success and improvements incorporating the techniques.
Meanwhile the eventing season has started with a bang! This year Dan had 3 horses at our local event Stafford, where all 3 ran well. Oscar finished 4th and qualified for the Blue Chip Finals at Weston Park.
Bailey did a beautiful dressage and XC but struggled a little with the tacky ground in the SJ. He will step up to the next level now.
Pete had his first ever event and coped amazingly well considering this was the first big competition for him since his racing days. A little tense in the dressage but a respectable score, awesome xc!
Looking forward to the next outing with them all.
